My Education

I was born in a small village of Nepal - Malma - 7 Baglung. I am one of the four children of my parents. I got my primary education from a village school which was co-established by my father. After my high school education I taught in the same school for about six months before I moved to the city for higher education.

I finished my post secondary school from Butwal Multiple Campus which was about three day's walk from my home town. There was no means of transportation and thus I had to walk all the way from my home town to the college.

I then moved to the capital city of Kathmandu where I earned undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language.

After I finished my Master's in English Education, I got an offer to teach at the same university and I started teaching in one of the largest teacher training colleges in the country called Mahendra Ratna Campus in Kathamndu and I still teach there as an Associate Professor.

I was awarded a scholarship to study in the UK in 1995/96 and I got an M.A. in English Language Teaching from Lancaster University, UK.
